Information you submit
The request form stores your request type, message, optional reply email (required for a privacy request), a random reference ID, and submission time. The project owner can access submissions to review corrections and handle requests. Do not include account numbers, addresses, or sensitive personal information. Email alerts are not offered in this edition.
Basic measurement
We record the page path, event type, and time for guide views and selected interactions. Completing a Check also sends its result category and your broad state choice (Maryland, other, or unknown). The full eight answers are not stored by the application. Our event table contains no email, IP address, or persistent visitor identifier. We do not sell personal information.
Retention and deletion requests
Application events and contact requests become eligible for deletion after 90 days; cleanup runs when the site receives a new recorded event or request. Data may remain longer when the site is inactive. A deletion request is saved for owner review, not automatically treated as verified ownership of an email address. Submit one through About & corrections and include your request reference if available.
Hosting and external links
The hosting infrastructure processes network information needed to serve and secure the website; its operational logging is separate from our application event table. Following an external source link takes you to that site’s privacy practices. This edition does not use advertising cookies or browser storage to persist your Check answers.
